Vast biodiversity
According to Cameroon’s Ministry of Wildlife and Nature Protection, the country has over 900 species of birds, over 300 species of animals and is among the richest countries in Africa in terms of biodiversity. As a result, if you are passionate about ecology and wildlife, there is a wide range of attractions that will satisfy your needs.

One of the most varied cuisines in Africa
Cameroon cuisine is one of the most varied in Africa, as the country sits between north, west, and the centre of the continent, and thanks to a strong French influence, a legacy of the colonial era. Local cuisines vary by region, but a large, one-course, evening meal is common throughout the country. A typical dish is based on maize, millet, cassava, plantains, potatoes, rice, or yams. Water, palm wine, and millet beer are the traditional mealtime drinks, although beer, soda, and wine have gained popularity.

Tea plantations
Have you ever wondered where your tea comes from? Wonder no more as you take a tour of the tea plantations located in Limbe (which also has a botanical garden) and the Ndawara Highlands in Bamenda. Set amid acres of manicured tea bushes, against a remarkable mountainous backdrop, you can watch as the tea leaves get sorted, ground and then dried. At the end of the tour, you’re rewarded with a cup of tea and biscuits.

Unique beaches
If a beach trip is on your itinerary, then rest assured, as Cameroon has some of the best, featuring fabulous, crystal-clear waters and fine, sparkling-white or black volcanic sand. If you’re looking for some of the best beaches in Africa, then Kribi in the South region and Limbe in the Southwest region are two of the best places to go.

The Pygmies of Baka
This tribe of pygmies has lived virtually the same way in the southern rainforests of Cameroon since paleolithic times. Visitors can meet the Baka and learn about their cultural and medicinal traditions on organised tours.

The Limbe Wildlife Centre
The Limbe Wildlife Centre is a wonderful example of an animal sanctuary done well. Jointly run by the Ministry of the Environment and Nature Protection and the primate charity Pandrillus, it contains rescued chimpanzees, gorillas, drills and other primates, all housed in large enclosures so you can get up close and observe these amazing animals. Here you’ll also find lots of interesting information about local conservation issues.

Mt. Cameroon
Buea is the capital of the Southwest region, and home to Mount Cameroon, a spectacular, active volcano standing 4023 metres (13,000 feet) above sea level. Mount Cameroon is one of the largest volcanoes in Africa, the highest peak in West Africa, and the fourth-highest peak in all of Africa. Eruptions at the volcano date all the way back to the 5th century BC, and you can climb it if you want – just be aware that it still erupts every 10 to 20 years.

Yaounde
West Africa may not be known for beautiful cities but Cameroon’s capital Yaounde certainly is one. The city is immaculately planned to be spread over seven hills meaning that the numerous buildings in the city are separated by stretches of lush green and rising terrain. In addition to its layout, the city is clean and safe with plenty of points of interest. The 1970’s government buildings here will appeal to culture buffs and are unusual looking to say the least. Given the central location of Yaounde it is also a perfect city to include in any tour of the country.

Maroua
Nowhere near as lush and green, Maroua still has an appeal of its own. The streets are remarkably red, sandy and dusty and the buildings are a dull beige colour but the colours of the locals clothing brings plenty of colour to the city. Maroua is a great place to experience the culture of Cameroon and its bustling markets are some of the best in the country. The city is also a great base for travllers wishing to visit the Mandara Mountains in the north of the country.

Limbe
Occupying the slopes of Mount Cameroon, an active volcanic mountain, Limbe is a city that acts as a great base for travellers who are looking to explore the beauty of the area. The botanical gardens in the city are a great place to learn about the nature and plants in the area before exploring the nearby waterfalls and national park. The mountain itself has a summit height of over 4,000m and is therefore a serious challenge but walks for novices are still possible around the base of the mountain without making a full ascent. If you are a lover of nature and wildlife then this is the place for you in Cameroon.

Douala
Douala has a reputation for being a bit grimey and insalubrious but this should not put you off visiting. This is the major city in Cameroon in most aspects; the airport is the biggest in the country, as is the port and the business centre here is the main one in the country. All of these hubs result in a chaotic and overactive feel and it is likely that you will not relax much whilst you are here. With that being said however the city is a great place to witness modern Cameroon and the few charms it offers.

Waza National Park
About 180 miles to the north of Maroua is Waza National Park. This park looks very different during the four seasons but is always a good place to witness some of the country’s most spectacular wildlife including elephants, giraffes and hyenas. Self-drive vehicles are allowed to explore the park but you will need a guide. This is not necarasilly a bad thing as you are much more likely to see the wildlife with a local guide that knows their stuff.

Bamenda
Bamenda holds the title of being the capital of Cameroon’s north-west and is a large city with all the amenities and facilities needed by travellers. The city of Bamenda is not likely to keep you interested for more than a day or two but Bamenda is a great place to reach the country’s highlands which offer beautiful lush scenery and hidden villages. The surrounding landscape is a great place for mountain biking, hiking and finding some off the radar guesthouses and restaurants.

Foumban
For art lovers, Foumban is a must-see city in Cameroon. The city has its roots in arts, music and architecture. It is also the city in Cameroon with the largest Muslim population. The city is much like a blend of North and West Africa with its Islamic influences. The Royal Palace and its adjoining museum is the main attraction here although the city’s mosque is also worth a visit while you are here.

Bafoussam
Although at first glance this city can seem busy and uninspiring, it will reward those who choose to explore. The people here are very friendly and welcoming to tourists and the palace here is a great, if not the best, example of a Royal Palace in Cameroon. The accommodation in the city is affordable and there are some true hidden gems to be found. The main tourist attraction is the tribal museum in the city which is part of the “Four Museums of Cameroon” project.

Kribi
This is the home of paradise in Cameroon. The beaches here are stunning with white sand, blue sea and fresh fish served from the restaurants lining the seafront. There are plenty of hotels in the Kribi area and most are reasonably priced. If after lounging by the beach all day you are looking for something different to do, the Chutes de la Lobe waterfalls are just 8km due south from the town. The waterfalls cascade directly into the sea forming a truly memorable sight.

Korup National Park
Korup National Park is a vast area, comprising 126,000 hectares of evergreen forest. The park is well maintained with resident scientists and well-marked trails. Many species of birds can be found in the park including hornbills and the extremely rare red headed rockfowl. Visitors to the park may even be lucky enough to see elephants or chimps although these are rare. The road access to the park can be tricky especially in the wet months when the road conditions deteriorate. It is worth noting that the Chimpanzee camp is a 7 mile hike from the Mana foot bridge, so come prepared.

Dja Faunal Reserve
The Dja Faunal Reserve is one of the largest areas of protected rainforest in Africa. 90% of the reserve consists of unspoiled and protected forest marked out by the Dja River which acts as a natural border for the area. The reserve is home to 107 mammals including a large variety of primates, for which the reserve is best known. The area is not too easy to access and a local guide is advisable.

Mefou National Park
Mefou is a project run by volunteers just outside of Yaounde. The park is a rehabilitation centre for apes including chimps and gorillas. The staff at the national park are very helpful and can arrange a guided tour of the facilities if requested. The park is easily reached if you have your own vehicle. Just be sure to take enough food and drink for the day as the park’s facilities are limited in this respect.

Dschang
This city, located in the West province of Cameroon, is growing quickly and the population has increased tenfold in the past 20 years. The main attractions in the city are the Museum of Civilization, which explores the history of Cameroon through its tribes and cultures, and the Center le Cinematique which, as it sounds is a museum centered around film. The latter of these two attractions seems to have been neglected in recent years but the Museum of Civilization is still a great learning experience for visitors to Cameroon.

Garoua
Garoua, the capital of the North, is located on the banks of the Benue River. The city is a hive of industry and thrives as a river port exporting everything from petroleum to animal hides. Several game reserves in the area mean that tourists often stay within Garoua and use the city as a base. The city itself has few attractions but does have amenities, guesthouses and restaurants making it a worthy place to stay when visiting the local game reserves.

Campo Ma’an National Park
This massive national park covers an area of 264,000 hectares. The landscapes confined within this massive area are as diverse as you would expect. From mountains to rainforest, the diverse landscape is home to mammals, birds and even sea turtles which make their nests on the beaches here. Having your own vehicle is the best way to see the area and the few basic hostels in the park are fine for a few nights stay. In total, there are more than 80 species of mammals at the park and more than 300 bird species pop up here throughout the year. The National Park is funded by the WWF and is supported further by timber and palm oil plantations in the area.

Adamawa Region
The Adamawa Region and its capital city Ngaoundere, is rightly considered to be one of the most attractive areas for tourists in Cameroon. This region is situated at an average altitude of 1000m (3,000 ft) above sea level. A number of suberb lakes ( Mbalang, Tison) and waterfalls ( Tello, Vina ) make Adamawa a firm favourite with tourists.

Adamawa is affectionately known as the waterShed of Cameroon, due to the many large rivers of the country that find their source here. It is also a hunting ground much appreciated by those who love big game hunting. They encounter optimal conditions for pursing their favourite sports here: game in abundance plus comfortable camps and ranches.

Ngaoundere, at the northern terminus of theNorth-South railway, is a picturesque town; its mosques and the palace of Lamido with its magnificient murals are examples of the characteristically traditional architecture of this region. Of special interest in the town are the very animated market quarter of baladji, the Lamido Palace and the museum.

Center Region
The Centre Region is noteworthy for its humid climate, lush vegetation, folklore and the customs and practices of its inhabitants.
It has an undulating landscape, featuring the equatorial forest and large rivers. This region is suitable for excursions, picnics, ecotourism, agro-tourism and exploration.

Yaoundé, the region’s county town, is also the capital of the country. Because of its location, Yaoundé hosts the headquarters of the Republic’s institutions and with its infrastructure which supports international-class hotels, is one of the preferred destinations for tourists, business people, diplomats, conference participants and academics. Built on several hills, Yaoundé enjoys a picturesque site and a climate relatively fresher than that of the coastal area: maximum temperatures hover between 30 and 33°C and minimum temperatures remain at around 15°C. The great tourist attraction of the region is the Ebogo site at around 60km from Yaoundé, near Mbalmayo.

Yaoundé
With its seven hills and situated practically in the centre of the country, Yaoundé became the administrative capital of Cameroon at the time it became independent in 1960. This area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as tools dating back at least six hundred thousand years have been discovered. The climate is humid from July to October, whilst the dry season spans November

East Region
The East Region is one of the most extensive regions of Cameroon. It is bordered to the north by Adamawa, by the Central African Republic to the east, the Rep of Congo to the South and by the South and Central Regions to the west.

The East Region is populated, among other tribes, by the pygmies, the first inhabitants of the region who harvest crops, gather fruits and hunt. Friendly and welcoming, they have succeeded in turning their environment into a centre of hospitality visited by many tourists.

Also called “The Region of the Rising Sun”, the East is an ecological zone dominated by huge trees.

In this area, nearly 1,500 plant species, some of which are wholly or partially protected, as well as over 500 animal species are to be found, mostly in the Dja Reserve which has been named a World Heritage Site. These numerous and varied advantages means that the East Region is particularly suitable for several forms of tourism, especially ecotourism, controlled hunting tourism, photo safaris and exploration.

Far North Region
The Far North Region is fully justified in claiming the title of the most beautiful tourist area in Cameroon. Indeed, being located in the Sahelian zone, its landscape is dominated by the steppes and grassy savannah.

It is intersected by massifs with strange and tormented shapes, such as in the picturesque and enchanted landscapes of the Kapsikis, a favourite haunt of tourists. Rhumsiki is a veritable Mecca for Cameroon tourism.
The inhabitants of the Far North, people of the hinterland, have been able to preserve an authentic culture which may be seen via the architecture, artistic creations, handicrafts, the traditions and folklore of tribes such as the Foulbés, Matakams, Toupouris, Massas, Kotokos, Kirdis, Arabes Choa, Mousgoums, Mandaras and the Mofous.

Above all, however, the Far North Region is famous for the Waza National Park. This is the most well-known and most visited park, having the best reputation in Cameroon and all of French-speaking Africa.

South Region
A mirror image of Cameroon as a whole, the South Region is an all inclusive destination.
Like an enormous green mantle, the tropical forests, a zone particularly suited to agricultural and ecotourism, covers the area like an enormous blanket of vegetation and offers visitors the possibility of meeting pygmies, the original inhabitants of the forest.

There are numerous rivers, some larger than others, reinforcing the humid climate of this region and featuring spectacular waterfalls and cascades like those in Lobé and Memve’ele.

The South opens directly onto the Atlantic Ocean with approximately 100 miles of coastline and fine sandy beaches ideal for the development of seaside resorts for tourists.

By choosing to visit the South Region, you unlock the door to discovering monuments and ancient reminders of the first missionaries and the history of the colonization of our country, notably at Kribi and Campo. Also to be admired is the splendor of the natural forest in the Dja Reserve, justifiably declared one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

South West Region
The South-West Region is one of the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon.
It is distinguished by a rich, permanently green cover of vegetation resulting from heavy rainfall and extensive agro-industrial activity.

The region abounds in a rich array of tourist sites, among which are:
• The relics of buildings dating back to the colonial era, including the palace of the German governor, Von Puttkamer, built at the beginning of the 20th century.
• Mount Cameroon, 4,100m high, which is still an active volcano;
• The Korup National Park, a living natural history museum dating back to 300 million years and enjoying a rare variety of flora and fauna.
• The Limbé Botanical Garden created in 1892 by German horticulturists.
• The Limbé Zoo, open all year round to tourists.
• The Barombi Lake in Kumba, with its luxuriant decor.

The South-West Region also has beautiful beaches of fine grey sand lapped by the Atlantic Ocean.

North West Region
Situated at an average altitude of 1,550m above sea-level, the North-West Region is one of high plateau dominated by a mountain chains reaching a peak of over 3,000m high in the Oku Mountains.

The landscape is covered in grassland and offers a captivating spectacle characterized by the panoramic contrast between plains surrounded by mountain ranges, and deep valleys which sometimes feature rivers interspersed with waterfalls and numerous crater lakes.

Outside the rainy season (from July to October), throughout the rest of the year, the region offers a climate which encourages tourism. It enjoys gentle and fresh temperatures hovering around 22°C.

Bamenda, the region’s main built-up area and regional capital, is both a modern and traditional town. It is an important commercial centre and a main crossroads for routes leading to all parts of the region.

An interstate highway is 350km (220 miles) long known as the “Ring Road”, allows visitors to admire the region in all its diversity: from traditional chiefdom, landscapes, lakes and waterfalls to wildlife reserves, etc.

West Region
The West Region, with its richly endowed natural attributes, is often compared with the Auvergne region of France. It is an undulating region traversed by beautiful rivers interspersed with waterfalls. It offers a series of rounded mountains, a heritage left by extinct volcanoes.

The climate here is temperate and certain areas, such as the Dschang meteorological station, register average annual temperatures of 20°C.

The West Region is a land of traditions and culture and is characterized by a richness of its craftsmanship, expressed in numerous ways: pipes, clay utensils, statues and masks in copper, stools decorated in pearls and bamiléké dancers in beautiful costumes. Foumban is the center of Cameroon’s craft industry.

North Region
The North Region, with its 3 National parks, Bénoué, Boubandjida and Faro covering a total surface area of 730 thousand hectares, has the biggest concentration by far of the most representative species of African wildlife in Cameroon. These include large mammals, primates, reptiles and birds.

This great wildlife potential has given rise to the following forms of tourism:
• Animal watching or Photo safaris with over 600km of trails open every year;
• Controlled hunting: Sport hunting and recreational fishing in zones especially developed and spread out around the national parks, the majority of which are leased out to professional hunting guides.

The Lagdo dam with its wonderful hyrax island also provides one of the tourist attractions of this province. Boasting an international airport, Garoua, is one of the major entry ports into Cameroon, along with Douala and Yaoundé.

Littoral Region
From a tourist’s point of view, the Littoral Region offers several advantages. The coastal zone is favorable to beach holidays, with its beautiful bays and white sandy beaches extending as far as the eye can see, right over to Yoyo and Manoka.

Located almost along the sea’s edge on the left bank of the Wouri River, the City of Douala is the regional and economic capital of Cameroon and remains the main port of entry into the country.

This town is bustling with activity, thanks to its port which is one of the biggest on the West African coast and its international airport, which is served by a number of airline companies.

Apart from a thriving business in tourism which benefits from a high-quality and rapidly expanding hotel industry, the major tourist attractions of Douala are its monuments, dating back to the colonial period, and its many markets. However, Douala is not the only attraction of the region; the secondary towns of Edéa and N’kongsamba also attract many tourists visiting Yaoundé or Kribi, or the West and North-west Regions.

Douala
The town of Douala is situated on the mouth of the Wouri River, in the centre of the Cameroon coastline. It is the economic capital of the country and one of the biggest ports on the African continent. Most of the town is built on the left bank of the river. It was the administrative capital of the country when it was a German colony until 1901, then took the name of Douala which is the main tribe of the region (the Duala). It has an equatorial climate which is hot and humid. There is a dry season from December to May (which encourages tourism) and a rainy season from June to November.

• Bonapriso and Bali – residential district where the public services are to be found
• Bassa – working class district and industrial zone
• New Bell, Deido, New Deido and Bépanda – working-class districts

• Bonabéri – on the other bank of the river

Douala’s main cultural event: A canoe race on the Wouri River is Ngondo’s great cultural event, an opportunity for the Sawa tribe to contact their ancestors who live in the water.

Waza National Park
As far as safari tourism is concerned, one could easily assert that Cameroon has taken the lions part, with modern parks and reserves, and a magnificent fauna over the country once called the heaven of birds. Here are the major delightful sites:

170,000 ha. It is the most famous in Cameroon, and one of the spectacular parks in the French-speaking countries in Africa. Located in the Far North, it represents the Eden of lions, also hosting hordes of mamm.

Campo Maan park
At approximately 2,264,064 ha. And 60 km near Kribi. Its rich fauna holds 80 species of medium and big mammals: elephants, buffaloes, gorillas, chimpanzees, panthers, mandrills, speckled otters, …etc.

Apart from the national parks, Cameroon also owns a large number of reserves hosting and protecting all the finest of African fauna: Pangar-Djerem, Dja, Campo, Kimbi, Mbi Crater, Douala, Edea, Lobeke lake, Ossa lake, Santchou and Bafia. Dja and Campo reserves are the two inviolate sanctuaries where gorillas live in peace.

Faro National Park
330,000 ha. Located in the North, it hosts 33 species of mammals (cheetahs, hippopotamus, giraffes, warthogs, …etc) and different species of reptiles.

Mozozo Gokoro National Park
1,400 ha. The park is famous for its reptiles and monkeys, living in an harmonious flora. The site contains a large number of rare botanical resources.

Benoue National Park
180,000 ha. The site situated in the heart of the North is renowned for its big antelopes and Derby moose, but also hippopotamus and buffaloes.

Bouba Ndjidah park
At about 220,000 ha. this is the land of the rhinoceros, living close to other species like lions, elephants, panthers and other buffaloes. The site is located in the North.

Korup National Park
The Korup national park in the South West covers 1,259 km2 in the oldest humid and tropical forests of the world. It is considered as a real living museum of more than 60 million years old. Its flora and fauna is rich and unique because the site is reported to have dated from the Ice Era! Different studies have allowed the identification of over 400 varieties of trees of which several medicinal plants. A liana with positive effects against cancers and aids is reported to have been recently discovered there. There are more than 300 species of birds living in the park along with 174 species of reptiles and amphibians, without forgetting the 140 species of fishes stocked in the river across.

Mefou National Park
Situated about an hour and a half away from the capital city, this national park covers about 1044 hectares of forest land. It houses chimps, gorillas, baboons and various other species of monkeys. It is home to Mefou Primate Sanctuary, a rescue and rehabilitation centre run by Ape Action Africa. With more than 300 rare and endangered primates in its care.

In Africa, Cameroon represents a country of its own, enriched with a cultural diversity. It concentrates the best of Africa. This exceptional heritage offers a mosaic of cultures for the satisfaction of all tourist expectations. In short, the outstanding originality of the country is expressed in its cultural diversity.

The population is a great melting pot of 250 ethnic groups, attached to the protection of their customs and lifestyle. In the North and the West regions, the authentic traditional palaces are very popular among tourists. They are independently ruled by chiefs in a peaceful cohabitation with the democratic central power, customs and modernity, economy and human values. Nevertheless, the territorial areas seem to follow the inherited pre-colonial subdivisions. Traditional chiefs play an important role in the cultural and political fields, and also maintain a moral and religious order at their local level.

As mentioned before, the governmental authorities recognize their moral influence as well as the majority of people. In the villages, the inhabitants naturally identify and resort to their power.

Each traditional territory is organized around the symbolic figure of the Chief. According to the region, he is called Fon of Lamido, even Sultan in some Muslim kingdoms. He stands in the heart of the social organisation and exercises political and spiritual functions. The thriving of its reign strongly depends on his capacity of mediating between the living and the forefathers, hierarchy inside and danger outside his administrative territory.

To avoid despotism, the Chief is responsible to his great fellow servants and some secret societies, contributing to raise a balanced exercise of power. The palace symbolizes both power and cultural influence in a value system endorsed by all the community members.

Today, traditional societies stand at the crossroads, as they need to find out a stability between the protection of their common heritage and the development of personal ambitions. Despite all, this prestigious tribal power keeps on adapting the country’s evolution. That should explain why Cameroonian people are so proud of their cultural treasures.

Limbe
If hiking is not your thing, then you might prefer relaxing in the picturesque town of Limbe, perfectly located between Mount Cameroon and the Atlantic Ocean.

Driving to Limbe you are surrounded by miles of lush greenery. With views of the Atlantic Ocean, clear blues skies and Mount Cameroon in the background the landscape is simply stunning and the photo opportunities endless. You will be jumping out of your vehicle several times to simply breathe in the amazing air and absorb the view.

Limbe is a popular area for tourists as there is so much to do in this pretty town. Wandering Limbe during the day you will find a picture-perfect busy town (exercise caution when crossing the busy streets) with friendly locals, cafes and the famous black sand beaches. In the town we highly recommend sampling the roadside treats of freshly made French crepes, a throwback to the country’s French colonial past. The crepes are delicious — a popular and familiar treat for the Western palate.

Limbe Botanic Gardens provide the opportunity to see rare flowers and walk amongst the 1,500 closely planted trees, many of which are medicinal. The abundance of trees and flowers makes the gardens a paradise for birds.

This is a great place to visit for the entire family; It has a large open-air arena where local traditional dancing and drumming take place, and the dancers actively encourage visitors to join in as they teach you traditional dance moves. There is also a wonderful arts and crafts store where you can buy incredible souvenirs from all over Cameroon.

Kribi
Besides the marvelous diversity of African resources that are concentrates in Cameroon, tourist will delight lounging in the beautiful beaches and relaxing in the sunny coasts of Atlantic (400km).

The country also comprises many other attractions such as picturesque bays and the natural sandy-beaches, islands, mangrove, vegetations and waterfalls which all pour in the sea. Passing through Douala, the access to the two major sea resorts is allowed during the day.

Called ‘’The Cameroon Cote D’Azur’’ because of its grey-sandy beaches, Kribi offers a delightful view with the Equatorial forest vegetation around. In the south of the town, the spectacle is unique: the Lobe river pours over beautiful waterfalls into the Atlantic Ocean. Farther, two very typical villages of fishermen, Eboundja and Ebodje, are worth the visit. From the Lobe, a canoe trip can be organized to meet pygmies in the forest.

Cameroon is a choice destination with a lot of attractions for any visitor. The country has a lot of natural attractions and many other phenomena that are not found anywhere else in the world, making it possible to have various categories of tourism.

Cameroon is one of the oldest countries of Africa and therefore has a lot of sites that can claim to be labelled as World Heritage Sites. There are several rich, historical, cultural and unusual attractions in Cameroon that form part of Cameroon’s heritage. The diversity of languages, about 250 spoken by about 18 million people is in itself one of Cameroon’s great cultural heritages. The list below are just some of the sites we want you to discover. The Bafut chiefdom or Fon Palace
A requested Cultural World Heritage Site, this site is located near Bamenda. This area has about 50 buildings, most of which are terracotta structures, with tiled roofs. The central structure known as “Achum” is architecturally and religiously most important. This count among one of the oldest traditional architectures in Cameroon.

Arch’l. Remains of Shum Laka
This site under the shelter of a huge rock of 1200 sq miles close to Bamenda. An archaeological heritage site has remnants of a typical forest land, where skeletal remnants of men living thousands of years ago were unearthed. Belonging to the Community of Baforchu, this site gives a view of how mankind evolved in this part of the world.

The Diy-Gid-Biy of Mandara Mount
Meaning ‘Eye of the Chief at top’, this archaeological site is made of dry stone. This structure indicates that area had been inhabited more than three centuries ago by some tribes other than the ones which inhabit the land today. It is an architectural heritage.

Babungo Museum
It houses very well preserved objects from the rich cultural and artistic heritage of the Babungo tribe of Cameroon in the North West province. The art objects are clear indications of the various aspects of social life and the artistic heritage of the kingdom. Although a whole range of objects were not available for preservation, the remaining ones still talk of the rich tradition and heritage of the Babungos.

Limbe Botanical & Zoological Garden
Internationally recognized as one of the most active gardens in tropical West and Central Africa, this garden as a natural gateway to the Mount Cameroon region. Limbe Botanic Garden provides a peaceful escape from the nearby bustling city.

Museum of Bandjoun
Bandjoun was one of the important centres of artistic creation and tradition in the Cameroonian Grassland and the museum exhibits over a hundred important objects depicting this cultural heritage. Rare and wonderful remnants symbolizing African art can be seen in the museum. It houses the historical artifacts that showcase the development of art, craftsmanship, and local history.
