Day 01 Arrival in Luanda
Upon arrival at Luanda’s Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport, you will be met smd assist by a representative and transferred to  Hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a City Tour of Luanda
In the evening, you will be taken out for dinner at Ilha de Luanda Caes de Quatro. Night in hotel.

Day 02 Luanda-Kisima National Park–Luanda (B-L-D) (106 km/2 hrs-One Way)
After breakfast, drive south to Kissama National Park for a game viewing drive with picnic lunches.

Kissama National Park is Angola’s principal National wildlife Park. Situated in western Angola. This 12,000 km² park founded in 1938 as a hunting block was proclaimed a national park in 1957. Once home to an abundance of large African mammals, it was scene of the 2001 ‘Operation Noah’s Ark’, the largest wildlife translocation in history where hundreds of animals especially elephants were moved from overpopulated parks in neighboring Botswana and South Africa to the park after being decimated in the 25yr Angola Civil War. Today, Kissama is home to some of Africa’s most sought after wildlife including elephants, buffalo, hippos and crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, a variety of antelopes including the wildebeest and eland, wild boars, sea turtles on her 120kms coastline on the Atlantic as well as other terrestrial mammals all in a stunning baobab studded natural setting between the Atlantic Ocean, Cuanza River and the Longa River.

Attractions include the Zebras, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, flamingos and other bird species, Turtles, etc.

You will return to Luanda later afternoon and back to hotel . Dinner at the Caes de Quatro Restaurant at Ilha de Luanda/ Night in Hotel.

Day 03 Luanda – Lubango (B-D) (By  Flight)
After breakfast, transfer to the Luanda Domestic Airport for your flight to Lubango. On arrival at Lubango Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Hotel .

Lunch is under own arrangements/on own account. In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Lubango including Fendas de Tundavala, Serra de Leba, Cristo ReiMonumento, the Boca Humpata panoramic view point as well as colonial and religious historical sites

In the evening, you will go out to dinner at one of Lubango’s nice local restaurants mixing with local people.If time allows, enjoy night life in Lubango before returning to hotel for overnight.

Day04 Lubango- Namibe (B-L-D)
After breakfast, check out with picnic lunches and be driven to Namibe Province(1hr) for your Desert Tour; visit the Arco e Carvalhao Oasis, the giant Welwitchita as well as the rock paintings of Tchitundulo and meet the Mucubal Bushmen.

You will then proceed to Flamingo Lodge, on the edge of the Atlantic, for dinner and overnight.

Day 05 Namibe (B-L-D)
Full day spent in Namibe enjoying the beach, the ocean and seaside tours including fishing.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner and overnight at the resort

Day 06 Namibe – Lubango (B-L-D)  (189 km/3 hrs) / Lubango–Luanda (By Fly)
After a leisurely breakfast, you will check out with packed lunches and drive back to Lubango. Proceed directly to the airport for your flight back to Luanda.

On arrival at the Luanda Domestic Airport, met by  representative and transferred to hotel. .
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the Local Restaurant and optional night life at Miami Beach. Night in Hotel.

Day 07 Luanda – Mussulo Island – Luanda (B-L-D) (By Cruise)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the jetty for a boat cruise to Mussulo Island (the African Caribbean) for a full day of fun on the beach and in the Atlantic Ocean; relaxing, swimming, boat riding, surfing and so much more. Lunch is included.

Later, you will transfer back to Luanda and the Epic Sana for dinner and overnight .

Day 08 Depart  Luanda
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport for your international departure flight.

Day 1 Arrive Luanda
Arrival at Luanda meet & assist at the airport by an representative. You will then be transferred to your hotel.  Depending upon arrival times a City Tour of this most dynamic of African capitals may also be arranged.
Overnight in Luanda,

Day 2 Luanda – N’dalatando – Kalandula Falls (By Road (357 km/ 5 hrs appx)
Proceed to follow the main road east in the direction of Malange through Catete and Zenza, we stop at our favourite small village for a coffee break.  We then continue on to N´dalatando the “garden city” and capital of Kwanza Norte province where we visit the Botanical Gardens, and an old agricultural college at Kilombo.

We continue through Lucala, to Cacuso where we turn off north east towards our main objective today – the majestic Kalandula Falls on the Lucala River, (at 105m a rival to Victoria Falls in height). We anticipate arriving here at around 16h00 or so. After visiting the falls we will dine and stay in a small basic hotel in Kalandula for convenience. Overnight in Kalandula,

Day 3 Kalandula – Pedras Negras – Calulo (By Road) (220 kms / 3 hrs appx.)
We will visit a rather surprising church in Kalandula village, where if on a Sunday and we are lucky we will hear the congregation singing in the local dialect.  We then set off for Pedras Negras, the trip will take about 1½ hours.  We turn south at Cacuso where we will soon reach the fascinating rock formation at Pungo Andongo known as “Pedras Negras”, here we will be able to climb one of the main rocks for a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside including Capanda Dam.

We will also be able to see the famous “rock footprint” of the warrior queen Rainha Ginga.  We then leave on a westerly route where (across the Kwanza valley) we start to witness the huge landscapes that Kwanza Sul is famous for, after about 90kms we turn south and go over the Kwanza River at the pretty bridge dating back to 1934 “Filomeno De Camara”. Travel through the picturesque “Magic Forest” track up into Cabuta Coffee Farm close to Calulo where we stay the night in their comfortable bungalows in the “Sanzala Complex”. Overnight in Calulo,

Day 4 Calulo – Cambambe Dam – Luanda (By Road) (272 kms / 4 hrs 30 min)
Visit some of the special sites at the farm, not least of all it’s spectacular 300 degree views at “Miradouro”.   We will also have the opportunity to enjoy a short guided tour of the operational side of the Coffee farm with one of the farms managers who will explain how the coffee growing and processing works and how Angola (once the 4th largest coffee exporter on the globe) is rekindling the industry.

We will then visit the pretty town of Calulo before starting our return to Luanda winding through the lush valleys and spectacular landscapes of Kwanza Sul, it will be a long day but we will still try to fit in a visit to the Cambambe Dam en-route to Luanda through Dondo before we arrive at the tranquil Lodge at the mouth of the River Kwanza where we will have a nice buffet and sometimes our host surprises us with freshly caught lobster or prawns. Overnight in Luanda,

Day 5 Luanda – Kissama Park (By Road) (106 kms /1 hrs 30 mins appx.)
Early morning visit Kissama, is the closest National Game park to Luanda.  Here we undertake photographic safari trips within the park’s pristine bush, the Kawa Camp and will take a trip on the majestic 960km long River Kwanza.  The lodge is a haven of tranquillity and we can unwind here in the morning after the travelling of the previous days.

After a leisurely breakfast, we will take our mid-morning River Trip for an hour or two, on this trip we expect to see we monkeys, close up viewing of various birds including beautiful kingfishers majestic fish eagles, palm-nut vultures and even the massive Goliath heron is a regular.  We may even be lucky enough to see a crocodile.  We will also have a glimpse into the lives of families along the river.

We turn into the Kissama Park itself and travel some 40kms, reaching the main camp (Kawa Camp) after 45 minutes or so.

Here we will undertake our 2 to 3 hour game drive some of the animals we should see are elephant, giraffe, various antelopes (Eland / Kudu amongst others), wildebeest, zebra, ostrich and many birds. We return to the lodge. Overnight in Kissama Park,

Day 6 Kissama Park-Luanda (By Road) (106 km/ 1 hrs  30 min)/Dep. Luanda
Drive to north stopping off at the famous Miradouro de Lua (“Lunar Viewpoint”) some 15kms from the lodge. We then carry on some 50kms into the city.  

Depending on flight times, we will be stopping at the slave museum and Benfica craft market en route to Luanda.  We would also expect to pass by the recently refurbished Fort and “Eiffel’s Iron Palace” as well as the “Ilha”, “Marginal” and perhaps the mausoleum as well some other museums and churches.  Will all depend on the flight time

We will give to ourselves plenty of time to explore the city and then departure transfer to onward destination.
