Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive  Vienna (By Flight) / Vienna – Salzburg (By Train)
Arrive Vienna Meet and assist and transfer to Vienna station to catch the train to  Salzburg. Arrive Salzburg transfer to Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Day 2 Salzburg
Following your breakfast in the hotel, take the popular and enjoyable Original Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg. The tour will take travellers to the breathtaking landscapes and locations where the famous musical, the Sound of Music was filmed. The English-speaking guide not only shows you the highlights of the film ‘Sound of Music’ but also the historical and architectural landmarks in the city. In addition, one will also get the chance to visit Mondsee Cathedral, which was the place where the wedding in the film was shot. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Day 3 – Salzburg – Innsbruck (By Train)
Today, enjoy an exciting ride with the Eurail from Salzburg to Innsbruck. Enjoy the scenic delights on the way and curate some of the most memorable moments of your life. Overnight stay in Innsbruck.

Day 4 Innsbruck
Enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, spend the rest of day the visiting some of the many places listed on ‘The Best of Innsbruck Tour’ which comes with an Innsbruck Card all inclusive. Some of these places include Alpenzoo, Glockenmuseum Grassmayr, Kristallwelten Swarovski, Kristallwelten Shuttle, Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum, Hofkirche and Zeughaus. Day 5 Innsbruck – Vienna
Today, you will be transferred back to Vienna by Eurail. Arriving in the city, spend the rest of the day visiting local landmarks and other tourist places of interest followed by an overnight stay in Vienna.

Day 6 Vienna
Exotic Wildlife, Giant Ferris Wheel
Enjoy a day visit to Schonbrunn Zoo, which houses more than 4000 animals from each continent. Take a ride on the world-famous giant ferris wheel. A trip to the zoo will ensure that you get to see the Giant Panda as well as other wild animals. Overnight stay in Vienna.

Day 7 Depart  Vienna
After having breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport for your onward journey  .

In the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and other artists

Salzburg is an Austrian city on the border of Germany, with views of the Eastern Alps. The city is divided by the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, facing the 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on its right. The Altstadt birthplace of famed composer Mozart is preserved as a museum displaying his childhood instruments.

Day 02 Salzburg (B-L-D)
Today we walk through Salzburg city and see Salzburg Cathedral- the centrepiece of Salzburg. It stands out as a masterpiece of early baroque art, Residenz Fountain – considered to be the most beautiful fountain in the city of Salzburg, Love lock bridge over Salzac river- a symbol of eternal love. Couples mark their locks with their names or initials and toss the key into the river, Getreide Gasse- a busy shopping street in the historic altstadt of Salzburg, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, It is also known as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at No. 9, where he lived until the age of 17, Linzer Gasse- yet another beautiful street with its handicrafts, old shops, countless restaurants and hostels. Later we visit Mirabell Gardens – horticultural masterpiece and one of the most important shooting locations from the famous Hollywood musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Later we take the funicular ride to Hohensalzburg Fortress – more than 900-year-old Fortress, also an evidence of Salzburg’s medieval history. Here we see the torture room, weapon exhibits and Marionette Museum.

Day 03 Salzburg-Hallstat-Mondsee-Vienna (B-L-D)(By Road) (402 km/ 05 hrs)
Today we proceed to Hallstatt – A picture perfect town on Lake Hallstatt’s western shore in Austria’s mountainous Salzkammergut region. Upon arrival we walk through its beautiful old town. Followed by a cable car ride to visit the magnificent Five Fingers viewing platform- It’s a series of five long, meter-wide platforms that spread like a hand hovering in mid-air over a 122-meter drop. Each is a different design and offers a different perspective. In the afternoon we enjoy boat ride on Hallstatt lake. Later we proceed to Vienna – Capital of Austria, is one of the most visited cities of Europe. Enroute we visit Mondsee Village where the village church was used for a wedding scene in the famous movie ‘Sound of Music’ Overnight in Vienna. 

Day 04 Vienna (B-L-D)
Today we visit Schonbrunn Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an 18th century Baroque palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers and is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historic monuments in the country. Later we explore Vienna city, we see Opera House – one of the finest Opera Houses in the world, Parliament Building – the monumental neoclassical building is the seat of the Austrian Parliament, City Hall – Neo-Gothic building that serves as the city’s administrative centre, Hofburg Palace – the former principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty rulers and today serves as the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria, Heldenplatz – a public square and Ring Boulevard – also known as Ringstrasse, is a circular boulevard that surrounds Vienna’s historical centre. Overnight in  Vienna. 

Day 05 Depart Vienna
Departure transfer to onward destination.
