Day 01 Arrive Quito   (D) (By Flight)
Upon arrival in Quito you will make your way (transfer not included) to your hotel. Quito is the la(B)

After breakfast you will enjoy a fully guided city tour of Quito. You will visit La Ronda, a beautiful street in the heart of the old city, and Plaza de la Independencia, the city’s main square.  Here you can see the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace and several historic churches. You can then enjoy spectacular views of the city and its surroundings from the viewpoint at Penecillo hill, before driving north of Quito to ‘the Middle of the World’, where the equatorial line divides the northern and southern hemispheres.  After spending time at the equator, you will return to Quito, where you are free to relax and enjoy the city at your leisure. Overnight in Quito.

Day 02 Quito-Otavalo  (B) (By Road) (91 kms / 1 hrs 44 mins appx.)
Today you will depart Quito and drive north to the mainly indigenous town of Otavalo. You can taste exotic fruits in the Guayabamba Valley before crossing the Equator at Cayambe where, on a clear day, you can see the majestic snow-capped mountains and try some famous salt biscuits with leaf cheese. At the foot of Imbabura Mountain enjoy the picturesque view of Ecuador’s largest lake: San Pablo. Afterwards, visit the famous and colourful Otavalo Indian Market where vendors proudly offer a stunning variety of textiles, including ponchos, rugs, mittens and scarves as well as jewellery and other artisanal work. If time permits you will also visit Cotacachi Village, known for its leather products and home to Cuicocha Crater Lake. Overnight in Otavalo,

Day 03 Otavalo – Papallacta (B) (By Road) (135 kms / 2 hrs 30 mins appx.)
This morning you will travel the same route taken by Francisco de Orellana on his way to explore the legendary “El Dorado”, in the Ecuadorian Amazon Region, towards the moors of the Eastern mountain range. During this trip, you will see a radical change in scenery due to the changing altitude. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape at 3,300 m above sea level you will discover Papallacta Hot Springs, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the natural hot waters

Day 04 Papallacata – Amazon (B)   (By Road)
Today you will leave the majestic Andes highlands and travel down into the “Oriente”, or Amazon region. Along the way there will be several opportunities to stop for photographs of the lush green valleys and beautiful sparkling waterfalls. The road ends at Punta Ahuano, a tiny port town on the North bank of the Napo River, where canoes await you for a short ride downstream to your lodge. Have a refreshing welcome cocktail and relax in the beautiful gardens full of amazing jungle plants and flowers before enjoying a delicious dinner, accompanied by the nightly sounds of the Amazon jungle. Overnight in Amazon, 

Day 05 Amazon (B-L-D)
After breakfast this morning you will travel upstream by canoe and embark on a short walk to see some of the jungle’s diverse secondary forest and visit the breathtaking “Cascada de Latas” waterfall, and if you wish you can take a refreshing dip in its clear crystal waters. After lunch, back at the lodge you will put on your “wet gear” (rubber boots and rain poncho) and enjoy an exciting walk in the rainforest with your expert native guide.  You will see a great variety of plants and insects and may be lucky enough to see exotic birds and monkeys weaving around the giant trees. Later this afternoon you will return to the lodge in time for another delectable evening meal served among the sights and sounds of the jungle. Overnight in Amazon

Day 06 Amazon -Banos (B-L-D) (By Road) (167 kms / 3 hrs appx)
Today you will depart the Amazon and travel East to Baños, a small city located in a valley of scenic waterfalls, tempting hot springs and the impressive Tungurahua volcano. Visit the famous waterfalls “Manto de la Novia” and “Pailon del Diablo”, before enjoying incredible views of the active Tungurahua volcano from a lookout point.

Day 07 Banos – Guayuaquil (B) (By Road) (305 kms / 5 hrs 30 mins appx.)
Your destination today is the bustling city of Guayaquil. On arrival, you will enjoy a city tour visiting the picturesque Las Peñas area and the Malecon, the lively square overlooking the Guayas River. At the Malecon you will visit some important historical sites, including La Rotonda, a monument that immortalizes the meeting between generals Simon Bolivar and San Martin. Afterwards you will walk through the old town and visit Seminario Park, which is home to many iguanas! This afternoon is at leisure to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in  Guayaquil,

Day 02 Quito–Middle of the World–Pululahua–Quito (26 km/ 40m–One Way)
This tour starts early in the morning to visit the Panecillo Hill, place to have a panoramic view of the city.

The tour will then continue from the Basilica Church, where we will make a brief stop and next, the “San Juan Mirador” from where you will have a beautiful sight of The Colonial Centre of Quito.

After walking through the colonial streets we will then stop at the Independence Plaza admiring the Cathedral, the Government’s Palace and a Ronda Street. Furthermore, we will visit The Company Church, the Sagrario Church and San Francisco Church which was built during the 17th century.

Later we will visit the current equatorial line and straddle the two hemispheres. In addition you’ll have a chance to participate in several experiments on Intiñan Museum (such as watching water go down a drain in a different direction only inches away from either side of the equator, or balancing an egg on a nail, or using an ancient sun dial, etc…)

In the Middle of the World city´s complex, you will be able to visit a fascinating ethnographical museum that gives a great overview of the many distinct cultures of this small country. You will also enjoy of the amazing landscape in Pululahua inhabited crater just 5 minutes from the latitud cero inside of the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve.

Day 03 Quito–Otavalo–San Pablo–Cuicocha–Quito (241 km/ 5 hrs / 14 mins)
We will take the north Panamerican up to our first stop in San Pablo lake, where you will enjoy of a nice view of the volcano and the lake. Then we will visit an indigenous weaving worshop in Peguche.

We also will know the natives from Otavalo, indigenous people rich in traditions and customs that permits the tourists enjoy the typical, multicolored handcrafts.

After lunch, we will visit an indigenous family that will show us how to make andean music instruments and how to play them. Then we will go to Cotacachi, best known for its leather goods.

You can find leatherjackets, boots, hand bags, just about everything. The quality is very good and its fairly inexpensive. After that and we will head up to Cuicocha lagoon (Guinea Pig Lagoon).

Cuicocha Lake is in the crater of an extinct volcano that last erupted 3000 years ago. It fell in on itself, and the dome makes a big island in the middle of the lake. During the solstice the natives go to the middle of the lake to make offerings finally, return to Quito. Overnight in Quito,

Day 04 Quito – Papallacta (By Road) (71 kms / 1 hrs / 15 mins appx.)
Full day tour that goes through the valley of Tumbaco and reaches Papallacta Hot Springs, just in the southeast side of the Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve famous place by its thermal water pools in Napo province; then we will walk about 1 1/2 hours from a private cloud forest reserve where we can admire the beauty of nature rich in flora and fauna.

After hiking we will go back to the thermal waters and enjoy a delicious bath taking advantage of the medicinal benefits that this place spring offers. Overnight in Papallacta,

Day 05 Quito – Cotopaxi (By Road) (193 kms / 3 hrs appx)
departure in the morning  to reach the Cotopaxi National Park in Cotopaxi province where we will visit the Interpretation Center and Limpiopungo lagoon; posibility to take a short hike in the surrounding of Limpiopungo valley. Then if the National Park allows us we can get up to the glazier. Overnight in Cotopaxi, 

Day 06 Cotopaxi – Quilotoa – Banos de Agua Santa  (232 km/ 4 hrs 15 mins)
we will depart to Quilotoa and we will stop to visit and indigenous local house from the “Paramos”, we will observe their clothes and customs, but the most important thing is that we are going to be with them in a typical indigenous house made of straw. we will sharing with them a short moment talking, watching and learning from them, about their life and how they prepare the soil to sow.

We will also visit the town of Tigua, famous for its naive paintings. We will continue up to the Quilotoa volcano, where you will be able to descend to the lake located inside the crater or just walk around the crater.

Day 07 Banos de Agua Santa-Alausi (By Road) (167 kms / 3 hrs appx.)
Full day of exploration of the town of Banos and the picturesque Valley of the waterfalls. We will visit Pailon del Diablo, the largest and most spectacular Ecuador´s falls. Also we will have the opportunity to visit the stunning Manto de La Novia waterfall. After that you could visit the hotsprings which the town has been named. Our driver is at your disposal for the whole day to give you maximum flexibility in the visits that you would like to make such as: Visit to The House Tree, rafting, rest in the hotel, etc.

Day 08 Alausíi–Ingapirca (By Train) / Ingapirca–Cuenca (74 km/ 1.5 hrs)
early in the morning we depart to Alausi, just less than 100km (62 miles), beautiful old town with one hundred houses. Time to take the spectacular train, considered the most difficult train of the XX century. You will descend gradually from the highlands to the lowlands, at times zigzagging, or hugging the cliffs. In the descending at the lowest point the incredible devils nose an interesting rock will appear in the horizon.

The train descends and then returns to Alausí again. Then we will depart to visit the indigenous market of Canar before reaching the ruins of Ingapirca for a complete tour of the ruins and archeological museum, during the visit you will see the vestiges of. After that we will go to Cuenca.

Day 09 Cuenca–Parque Nacional del Cajas–Cuenca (20 km/ 35m–One Way)
We’ll head to Cajas National Park, which is located 30km east of Cuenca. In this area there are about 200 recreational lakes propagated between 3,150 m 4,450 m.

The lakes are connected by small rivers and crystal clear waters flowing into the Pacific. After a walk through the mountains, we’ll return to the city of Cuenca. City tour in the afternoon. Overnight: Cuenca,

Day 10 Cuenca – Guayaquil (By Road) (198 kms / 4 hrs appx.)
Early in the morning we will depart to Guayaquil (4 hours) In the afternoon, we will have a walking tour around “Malecon 2000” and “Las Peñas” neighborhood.In the afternoon we will visit Parque Historico.

Day 03 Quito – Cotopaxi-Patate-Baos de Agua Santa ( 204 km/ 3 hrs 30 min)
We will depart early from Quito by motorcar on the Pan-American Highway to the south, to visit the Cotopaxi National Park, an ecological sanctuary of 88,920 acres, around the magnificent Cotopaxi Volcano, which rises 5897 meters (19,347 feet) above sea level.  The evergreen landscape of the Ecuadorian highlands is one of the main attractions, along valleys and mountains covered by multicolored fields. After an hour and a half, the entrance to the park is reached and then it’s up a dirt road for approximately one hour.  Upon arrival to the park there is an introductory briefing about the habitat of the Andean paramo or moorlands, its flora and fauna in the small Interpretation Center.

Travel along valleys and mountains to the magnificent Cotopaxi Volcano, for an up-close view of the Andean paramo habitat and its unique flora and fauna; a number of high-altitude birds can be observed around Limpiopungo Lagoon, and occasionally, wild horses.  On clear days, the perfect snow-capped cone of the Cotopaxi Volcano is quite a sight!  Outside the volcano not far from the National Park is a charming hacienda, where lunch is served in a room with Inca walls, perfectly preserved through the centuries -a truly archaeological jewel.  Mingle with the llamas of the hacienda and stroll along a rose plantation, many varieties, many colours, ready for exportation.  From here, descend towards the town of Patate, to spend the night at a 300-year old hacienda, hidden among the mountains, a magical ambience, where as the afternoon mist descends. This place is full of stories about those who left in search of the treasure of the Incas in the nearby Llanganatis mountains – and never returned.

Day 04 Banos de Agua Santa- Alausi (By Road) (167 kms / 2 hrs 50 mins)
We take a spectacular route along the gorge of the Pastaza River to the town of Banos (Baths), right at the foot of Tungurahua Volcano, from where the thermal waters that gave it its name emerge.  We will drive along the Route of the Cascades to El Pailon del Diablo (the Devil’s Cauldron) -the most adventurous will descend (medium difficulty) to observe the impressive cascade up close, surrounded by subtropical vegetation and orchids.

The force and sound of the waters can also be appreciated from a lookout point without descending. Afternoon a short stroll along Banos -a town with an international pulse, full of people from all over the world as well as many locals who pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Holy Water.

In the afternoon we will go to Alausi. Overnight: Alausi, Ecuador

Day 05  Alausi- Ingapirca – Cuenca (By Train)
We will depart by road, skirting the flanks of the Andes, an astonishing ride, twisting and turning, along bridging ravines and river gorges.  We will ride through Indian villages and cultivated fields; here is where most of the cereals in Ecuador are grown, among them, the quinua, considered the perfect grain for its nutritional value.

After 2 hours, the trip arrives at the small town of Alausí, the beating heart of the rehabilitation of the Ecuadorian Railway Company in the last years.
Great effort has been made to restore the 100-year old train to its old glory and romance.  Stations have been renewed, railways and sleepers replaced, engines and classic coaches renovate, and, most important, the project involves the local communities along the route in the rail operation. The highlight is the thrilling 800-metre (2630-foot) descent on the zigzag cuttings on the rock of the Devil’s Nose. At the bottom one finds the newly renovated Station of Sibambe.

Here there is time to visit the local museum Condor Puñuna built and run by the Nizag community, see the display of local handcrafts, fruit and medicinal plants and try the local coffee.  The train whistle calls guests back on board for the return to the Station of Alausí, where a light snack is served to regain strength.  Continue exploring the Andean world by motorcoach to the south, visiting the Inca Fortress of Ingapirca en-route.. Day 06 Cuenca – Guayaquil (By Road) ( 199 kms / 3 hrs / 35 mins appx.)
Visit Cuenca is Ecuador’s third largest city; yet it still retains its pleasant provincial air. Its red tiled roofs, cobblestone streets, flowery plazas and museums make it very special.  This comprehensive visit includes the Plaza of San Sebastian, a colorful artisans market, where handicrafts are sold.  Then, visit the Museum of Modern Art, featuring an excellent collection of contemporary fine art.

After lunch transfer to Guayaquil. At night we will have a walking tour around “Malecon 2000” and “Las Penas” neighborhood.
