Gabon, a country along the Atlantic coast of Central Africa, has significant areas of protected parkland. The forested coastal terrain of its famed Loango National Park shelters a diversity of wildlife, from gorillas and hippos to whales. Lopé National Park consists of mostly rainforest. Akanda National Park is known for its mangroves and tidal beaches.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Libreville
Arrive Libreville meet and assist at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Libreville – Port Gentil – Evenghe
After breakfast transfer to airport to catch the flight Port Gentil. Arrive port Gentil and transfer to Boat enbark boat and cruise. From the Downtown Marina (160 km) boat crossing the river and the lagoon Ogoué Fernan Vaz. This crossing is very beautiful and you will enjoy the scenery and vegetation along the river and its tributaries. Arrive Evenghe transfer to lodge after lunch visit  the sanctuary to see gorillas later return to Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 03: Evenghe – Lagono Park
After breakfast transfer to boat depart by boat to Loango Lodge and Mpivié . Discover the forgotten river Mpivié in the jungle. Birdwatching abounds and crocodiles hang out in the river. Down the river by 4×4 you transfer to your Loango Park Safari and arrive at Lodge. After lunch go for Afternoon safari Northern Loango National Park. Watching elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, monkeys and birds. Later return to Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Loango National Park – Akaka – Loango National Park
After breakfast go for boat safari to Akaka on arrival lunch at Akaka. Observations of birds, hippos, crocodiles. (In October-November-December this area is flooded. Large mammals are absent from Akaka at that time.) However, this Safari is very beautiful, and the Akaka region is unique in its nature and preserved. Later Return by boat safari in the afternoon to lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Lodge

Day 05:Loango National Park – Tassi
After breakfast depart for Tassi, another of Gabon’s parks satellite camps. This safari is by 4×4. Then we go walking in the nearby forest of Tassi, and a kayak trip will be offered around Tassi. Visit the beach in Tassi to observe the famous congregation of elephants and buffaloes at the beach.

Day 06: Tassi – Loango National Park
After breakfast departure by 4×4 safari Gradual return to the Loango Lodge on arrival lunch in lodge. In the afternoon a Tower Lagoon boat ride, where you will be given the opportunity to watch hippos later return to Lodge.
Dinner and Overnight in Lodge.

Day 07:Loango National Park – Port-Gentil
After breakfast transfer to Port-Gentil to catch the flight to Libreville. Arrive Libreville meet and assist and transfer to Hotel.
Dinner and Overnight in hotel. 

Day 08: Depart Libreville
After breakfast transfer to airport to catch the flight for onward Journey.

Itinerary

Day 01: Libreville
Arrive Libreville meet and assist at the Airport and transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Libreville.

Day 02- 03: Libreville – Matshogo Village               B-D, B-L-D
Explore the city visiting its market and seeing some of the remaining examples of early colonial architecture. From here e drive to forested interior, reaching a Village populated by the Mitshogo and Bobongo people. While here we witness a very special and unique to Gabon ceremony. That of the Bwiti belief system. This is a Secret society based on indigenous beliefs, where intakes seek to communicate with the spirit world, and a highlight of the trip.
Overnight in Camp.

Day 04: Lambarene                                                     B-L-D
Head to Lambarene on an island in the Ogooue river. Lambarene is known for its lakes, with several endemic birds and fish species, as well as the Schweitzer hospital. Established in the early 20th century and a centre for research into malaria. Spend the night in hospital guestroom for a sense of the history of the town.

Day 05: Oguemoue Lake                                             B-L-D
This morning we continue by boat along the Ogooue River, a stunning journey which give a sense of how the first European explores of this region must have felt. We then reach our basefor the next few days, Oguemoue Lake.
Overnight tented camp.

Day 06 – 08: Oguemoue Lake                                      B-L-D
Three full days to explore Oguemoue. The wildlife here is rich and includes Elephant, Hippos, Crocodile, Gorillas, Chipanzees and numerous antelope species, as well as huge number of bird species. However as in any forest environment, it requires a bit of luck and determination to see. Accompanied by local guides venture into the forests and along the lakee each day in search of the iconic wildlife that lives here. We also have the opportunity to visit local communities and learn about their tradition.

Day 09: Lambarene                                                     B-L-D
After morning excursion, we make our way back to Lambarene in the afternoon.
Overnight in Schweitzer hospital guest room.

Day 10: Lambarene – Libreville Depart                    B
Return to Librevillle departure transfer to Airport to catch the flight for onward Journey

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive  Libreville (By Flight)
Meet & Greet by english speaking guide at the airport and transfer to hotel Tropicana. Overnight in Libreville.

Day 2 Libreville-Matek-mavi (B-L-D) (By Boat)/Matek-mavi-Nyonie(By Road)
Have a breakfast in morning and get ready for your trip to Nyonie. At 08:30 AM, the guide picks you up and transfer to Michel Marine dock.

After 45mn of cross boat you will disembark at Matek-mavi. Follow your trip in a 4×4 vehicule before you reach Nyonié camp.Settle, rest a bit and lunch at midday. In afternoon go for a game drive in the reserve with high chances to see elephants, buffalos etc. Overnight at Nyonie Camp

Day 3  Nyonie (B-L-D)
Spend this half day morning through trekking in beautiful forest of nyonié and relax in the afternoon at the beautiful beach around the camp. Overnight Nyonie camp

Day 4 Nyone – Qwendo (B-D) (By Road) / Owendo – Lopé  (By Train)
Spend the day relaxing at the beach in Nyone while waiting for your return to Libreville scheduled for 4pm.

By 4:30pm you will be transfer (20min) to owendo train station and night train to lopé. Train leaves at 05:50 PM and arrive in Lope around 01 AM. Meet and greet with Lope team and transfer to hotel. Night at hotel

Day 5 Lope (B-L-D)
Spend your morning relaxing at the hotel. In afternoon go for an extraordinary climbing of the beautiful mont Brazza and be amazed by the landscape. Overnight at hotel Meals: Full board

Day 6 Lope – Libreville (B-L-D) (By Train)
In the morning enjoy sailing on the river . In afternoon further explore lopé park through the 4×4 safari.
At night diner at the hotel and later transfer to train station and night train to Libreville. Night on Train

Day 7 Depart Libreville (By Flight)
Arriva lLibreville and transfer to  hotel and rest. Later on at night transfer to international airport and flight to onward journey.
