Gwalior is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It’s known for its palaces and temples, including the Sas Bahu Ka Mandir intricately carved Hindu temple. Ancient Gwalior Fort occupies a sandstone plateau overlooking the city and is accessed via a winding road lined with sacred Jain statues. Within the fort’s high walls is the 15th-century Gujari Mahal Palace, now an archaeological museum.

Gwalior Fort is a hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort has existed at least since the 10th century, and the inscriptions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century.

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu temples and Jain temples in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, India, about 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures.

Day 09 Khajuraho – Varanasi (By Flight)
Breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Varanasi. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy the prayer ceremonies in the ghats of the Ganges River.

Day 10 Varanasi
Early in the morning, cruise on the Ganges River to see Hindu rituals in the Ghats. Return to the hotel for breakfast and later, tour of the city of Varanasi, which includes the temple of Bharat Mata and passing by the Hindu University of Varanasi. In the afternoon, visit the Sarnath, the place where Buddha gave his first sermon and we will also visit its excellent museum.

Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Pushkar is a town bordering the Thar Desert, in the northeastern Indian state of Rajasthan. It’s set on Pushkar Lake, a sacred Hindu site with 52 ghats (stone staircases) where pilgrims bathe. After breakfast, early morning relaxation. Outside look at the Red Fort built in the 17th century and visit the Jama Masjid mosque, the largest mosque on the Indian subcontinent. TouDays in the old town, a walk through the maze of alleys to the bustling bazaar of Chandni Chowk will be your opportunity to take the pulse of these neighborhoods that never sleep.

At the eastern end of Chandni Chowk is the Digambara Jain Temple, whose small marble courtyard is surrounded by a beautiful colonnade. It is the refuge of the birds of the city, which even have their hospital there!

Visit the Taj Mahal, a luminous white marble mausoleum built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to immortalize his love for his wife Mumtaz, closed on Friday. After 3 years of work, the renovation of the main facade of the Taj Mahal and its four minarets is magnificently completed.

After breakfast, On the way from Ranthambore, stop at Fatehpur Sikri which was one of the capitals of the Mughal emperor Akbar. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its red sandstone palaces combine Indian architecture with those of Iran and Central Asia.

In the early afternoon, express train to Sawai Madhopur and continuation by road to Ranthambore. Ranthambore Park is closed from July to September.

After breakfast, the national park covers 411 km². It is in these magnificent landscapes, where lakes and rivers alternate, that an ambitious project of reintroduction and protection of the tiger was carried out.

If you don’t have the chance to spot tigers, many other animals are visible: hyenas, bears, deer, crocodiles and more than 250 species of birds. Safaris in the reserve early in the morning and at the end of the afternoon with a naturalist guide depending on the number of visitors present, the visit can be carried out in a private jeep or vehicle for ten to fifteen people.

Fatehpur Sikri – Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Moghuls, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. The sloping levels of the city were connected into terraces which were utilised for various complexes such as Jami masjid, Buland-Darwazah and tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti; Khass Mahal, Shahi-Bazar, Mina-Bazar, the Panch-Mahal, Khwabgah, Diwan-i-Khass, Anup-Talao, Chaupar and Diwan-i-Am. The efficient system of drainage and water-supply adopted here suggest an extremely intelligent town-planning by the Mughal emperor.

Ancient Gwalior Fort occupies a sandstone plateau overlooking the city and is accessed via a winding road lined with sacred Jain statues. Within the fort’s high walls is the 15th-century Gujari Mahal Palace, now an archaeological museum.

Gwalior Fort is a hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India. The fort has existed at least since the 10th century, and the inscriptions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century.

Day 08 Jaipur

Arrival in Dharamsala and first stroll in the village of Mcleodganj, current residence of the Dalai Lama where 10,000 Tibetan refugees live. Prayer wheels, colorful pennants, the presence of many monks make you enter another India, closer to Tibetan culture. In the evening, visit the temple of Bhagsu.

Day 10 Dharamsala
After breakfast, Visit the Tsuglakhang temple where the Dalai Lama lives, a fine example of Tibetan architecture. It houses magnificent frescoes by Sâkyamuni and Bodhisattvas, as well as precious manuscripts. Discovery of the Norbulingka Institute which works to perpetuate Buddhist culture: paintings of tangkas, wood carvings closed on Sunday and 2nd Saturday of each month as well as for all Tibetan festivals … Discovery of Saint John Church, the Tibetan medical institute and library. For walkers, very nice walks on well-marked paths are possible from the city.
In the evening, stroll through the bazaar of Mcleodganj with numerous stalls.

Day 11 Dharamsala – Amritsar (By Road) (200 Kms. / 4H 30M appx.)
After breakfast, Departure for Amritsar. At lunchtime, you can attend the community kitchen service in the temple: several thousand meals consisting of chapati and lentils are served every day for free to pilgrims. In the heart of the city, the golden domes of the most sacred of Sikh temples are reflected in the waters of the basin. It was the great and tolerant Mughal emperor Akbar who helped build this wonder from 1588 to 1601. The Adi Granth, the holy book of Sikhism, was deposited there shortly after. Since then, the priests have taken turns to chant their sacred texts continuously. At the end of the afternoon, you will attend with a large number of faithful the ceremony of the solemn deposit of the sacred book for the night. Music and songs accompany this highlight of temple life.

Day 12 Amritsar
After breakfast, if you are early in the morning, sunrise at the Golden Temple. Discovery of Jallian Wala Bagh Park which commemorates the terrible Day of 1919 when 2,000 Indians were killed or wounded by the British. In the afternoon, transfer to the Pakistan border for the border closing ceremony. Indian and Pakistani soldiers meet each evening in front of their respective supporters for this event. With their torsos bulging, frowns and fists clenched, the soldiers execute an intimidating parade punctuated by the dry orders of the officers. For almost 40 minutes, they parade in full blows of boots and guards.

After breakfast, Flight to Delhi. Visit the interesting museum of art and crafts which presents a fine collection of sculptures and textiles from all over India. Soothing stop at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, the capital’s great Sikh temple. Shopping at the Dilli Haat market.

After breakfast, Excursion to Rohtang Pass. Rohtang Pass is a must-see attraction. The route from the snow point of the Manali-Rohtang pass is lovely. Don’t forget to rent snow boots and a body suit, available in all stores. During the winter months, the Rohtang Pass is inaccessible during the snowfall, but during the summers it receives a large number of tourists who can enjoy a series of activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, etc. The views from 3979 meters are panoramic.
