Day 01 Arrive  Saigon

Day 02 Saigon
After breakfast, proceed to visit Re-unification palace. This is one of the most important buildings in the city. Here on April 30th 1975 the ‘American War’ officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.
War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the ‘Requiem’ exhibit is particularly touching, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks and cannons captured from the American military machine.

Day 03 Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon (By Road) (80 kms / 2h – One Way)
After breakfast, proceed to the town of My Tho lies on the left side of the Mekong River and just a two-hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. Visitors will enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River and then ride on a hand-rowed sampan through small inlets under a green canopy of water-coconut trees to catch a glimpse of the daily activities of the local people. A visit to an orchard islet to observe the pastoral life and enjoy coconut milk, seasonal fruit, honey tea.
16:00 PM back to Saigon. Overnight at Saigon.

Day 04 Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon (By Road) (60 kms / 2h -One Way)
After breakfast, proceed to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s. The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the U.S.-Vietnam War in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from Saigon . At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep, included innumerable trap doors, specifically constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life during the war must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!). For those interested there’s even the opportunity to try an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Dong Xuan Market, selling household goods and street food.

Day 01 Arrive Hanoi
Arrival at Hanoi airport meet assist and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Hanoi
After breakfast, Proceed to city tour of Hanoi capital. Visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 – the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. We then continue on to the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist – dating from the Ly Dynasty) and the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on the West lake (One of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam). Then visit Bat Trang pottery village (apply on Mon, Wed & Fri). Afternoon proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. We’ll also see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 –  it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. For the last part of the tour we’ll journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 – 16h00. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 Hanoi – Halong Bay (By Road) (160 kms / 03 hrs 30 min appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to Halong Baycity. On arrival Embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone island Cruising to Titov island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Titov or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong BayBay. Return to the main boat and continue cruising to the quite area while enjoy beautiful seascape on the way. Watch the fruit carving demonstration and participate in the Cooking Class. After breakfast, Proceed to In the morning start the day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt. Later breakfast on board and enjoy the peaceful morning of Halong BayBay. Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong BayBay. Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin. Continue cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more. After lunch disembark V’Spirit Classic. Later transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 Hanoi– Tam Coc – Hanoi (By Road) (132 km/ 02 hrs 30 min-One Way)
After breakfast, Proceed to Tam Coc. En route visit Hoa Lu. Which is the historic capital of Viet Nam and the famous ancient temples of Le and The Dinh Dynasties. Later transfer to Tam Coc for enjoy boat trip to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. After Tam Coc visit drive back to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Hanoi – Hoa lu & tam coc – Hanoi (By Road)(100 kms / 2h – One Way)
After breakfast, a two hour road trip through picturesque countryside and agricultural land will take you to Hoa Lu. On arrival, your uide will lead you through this ancient complex which formed the capital city of Vietnam under both the Dinh and Le Dynasties between 968 and 1009 AD. King Dinh Tien Hoang chose this mountain location as the water systems fed from the mountains were perfect for both agriculture and defense. Enjoy the sight of palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions built by different dynasties and visit the Dinh and Le Temples, the two remaining architectures of Hoa Lu.
In the afternoon, take a three hour sampan ride along the waterways of Tam Coc. Known locally as the ‘Halong Bay of the land,’ this winding river way is dotted with gorgeous limestone karsts with endless photo opportunities. Day 03 Hanoi–Halong Bay–Hanoi (By Road) (165 km/ 03hrs 40 min- One Way)
After breakfast, proceed for bus ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Water buffaloes, paddy fields (rice transplanting time: February and June) and daily Vietnamese farmer life are on both sides of the way.
PM: Arrive in Ha Long City around noon, we board a traditional wooden junk and start the cruising trip to the centre of the bay. Fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) is served while the boat is gliding out. Get ready for exotic photos and absorbing the most magnificent natural splendors, limestone bedrocks and sheer cliffs of tiny islands highlighted with fanciful names: Fighting Cocks (symbol of Halong Bay), Duck, Finger, Incense Burner, and Stone Dogs. You will visit a famous ancient limestone cave in the middle of the bay where you’ll discover magnificent stalagmites and stalactites as you walk along the lit paths on a guided tour. We pass the now demolished wartime American Embassy, some French colonial structures including the War museum (or History museum), the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Enjoy shopping at Mai collection and Minh collection where you can buy baju kurung, telekong, tudong, then go to Thai Tuan Vietnamese silk shop, Saigon square (embroidery hand bag).
