Bridges to Heaven!

In today’s uncertainties, it’d be great to be somewhere with a splendid and magnificent view. Heaven on earth. Everything feels far and disconnected as we’re stuck at our homes. If only there was a bridge to reach into the realm of picturesque wonders.

Actually, there are quite some literal bridges with exquisite vista beyond words. Even being on the bridge itself will give you chills. Here in Malaysia, bridges are one popular spot for the lens or so called Insta-worthy. Being on land, above the sea, and floating in mid air, bridges don’t only serve aesthetic visuals, but it carries a notion of connection and unity.

GUILLEMARD BRIDGE, KURSIAL RIVER, KELANTAN
The strong, black solid steel bridge has a history worth telling. Being 600 meters long, this bridge is the longest railway bridge in the country. Despite the damage due to war in 1941, Guillemard Bridge’s technological marvel let it stand strong even after nearly a century.

KUALA TAHAN NATIONAL PARK CANOPY WALK, JERANTUT, PAHANG
Being cocooned in lush greenery feels somewhat magical! And not to mention, this place has been existing for more than 130 million years (exceeding the Amazon). Kuala Tahan National Park holds the record for the longest canopy walk in the world, being 550 meters and suspended 40 meters above ground. You’ll be walking from tree to tree, observing all the rich flora and fauna down below. Where else could you get the best scene for your social media on a world record holding site? Only in Malaysia.

PULAU RAWA JETTY, MERSING, JOHOR
Along the Straits of Johor, about 16 km away from Mersing town lies a heavenly island called Pulau Rawa. Known as the ‘Pearl of an Island’ of Johor, Pulau Rawa, otherwise known as Rawa Island, deserves the attention it holds.

TERENGGANU DRAW BRIDGE, KUALA TERENGGANU
A reminiscence of the London Tower Bridge, the latest attraction in Kuala Terengganu is more than just eye-catching. The 15-storey tall structure is not just any ordinary building, but becomes the new icon and landmark for the state of Terengganu.

TUSAN BEACH, MIRI
The Luminous Wonder of Tusan Beach, Miri

Just 40 km away from Miri, along the Bekenu Coastal Road, lies Tusan Beach; a charming and exceptional paradise for beach lovers.

The beach’s remote location renders a mystical ambience to the place. Hidden behind a palm oil plantation, the beach boasts pristine white sand that stretches for 11 km. The lush greenery that stood overlooking the beach creates a picturesque view of the whole area. This stunning setting offers a perfect opportunity for visitors to experience a beautiful panoramic sunrise and sunset views.

The combination of pristine white sand, lapped by shallow clear water, a number of small caves along the shoreline, and crowing palm trees also portray a sight that is unique and perfect for a relaxing getaway, even better as an inclusion to your photo album.

The Blue Tears
A visit to Tusan Beach will never be complete if you are not there for the ‘blue tears’. Famed for being one of the most unique sightings in Miri, the dazzling phenomenon has sparked the interest of many locals and foreign visitors as well as being the main attractions for hundreds of visitors whom flock the beach.

The exquisite ‘blue tears’ is caused by the formation of algae called ‘Dinoflagellates’. In its blooming time, a glowing blue luminescent sighting will lit the area, stimulated by a certain motion and turns the sea water into neon blue as it washes up on the shores.

SKY MIRROR
The Magical Sky Mirror of Malaysia

There is a place here in Malaysia where the sky can be seen 360° around you, giving a never-ending scenery as far as the eye can see, and leaving a vague line between the sky and the earth.

This wonderful natural phenomenon occurs twice a month, as the low tide of the sea clears the water and makes way for a mesmerizing formation of a mirror floor. It offers visitors a ‘reflective’ experience as they observe and appreciate the beauty of mother nature. Welcome to Malaysia’s offshore wonder, the mesmerizing Sky Mirror!

Being about 30 minutes off the coast of Jeram, Selangor, it is worth the wait as the ambience here – especially between 7.00a.m. to 2.00p.m. – provides perfect hues of lighting effect and a unique mirrored setting for photographers and visitors alike to get crafty with poses.

The way this magnificent formation magically emerges from within the deep will amaze all eyes. The magic happens when the tide in this area fixes precisely just an inch above the sand, resulting in an exceptional and astonishing mirror effect.

This mirror platform is fully submerged underwater. So, booking a spot for a visit stirs up quite a competition. Despite the miraculous sight offered by Sky Mirror, it is not as simple as snapping a photo upon spotting a picture-perfect view. Rather, it requires careful observation of many factors – including the weather, tides, and waves – that may potentially affect your visit here.

The best memories are sometimes made in the briefest of moments, so craft your memories here as only 45-60 minutes are permitted per stay depending on the circumstances and unfitting conditions of the water determined by the crew in charge. The crews’ expertise is not to be taken lightly, so it is advised to follow their instructions at all times, especially during emergencies.

If you are planning to visit Sky Mirror, make sure to take a stroll around some of the finest attractions located nearby. Drop by Melawati Hill for a chance to stumble upon a group of monkeys while enjoying the view of the Strait of Malacca Sea.

In the mangrove forest of Kuala Selangor Nature Park, hundreds of eagles nesting in this area are easily spotted. The riverbanks of Selangor River enable you to experience a magical moment with firefly colonies. The firefly-infested trees in this area set an atmosphere so enchanting, it makes you feel like being in a Disney movie surrounded by thousands of fairies.
