Enjoy a private tour of Cefalu on the northern coast of Sicily. Your day will start with a short tour of Palermo. Then it’s time to hop into your private transportation for a scenic drive along the northern coast of Sicily until you reach the seaside town of Cefalu.
Cobbled streets and sandy colored buildings make up the bulk of Cefalu, which sits on edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea, a long stretch of beachfront helping to define this charming resort town. You won’t be able to miss La Rocca, the imposing rocky mountain that sits on the coast.
On this day trip from Palermo, you’ll visit the Cathedral Basilica of Cefalu, an imposing Norman-Arab cathedral famous for its glittering Byzantine mosaics, a medieval wash-house, and the Osterio Magno, a 14th century mansion that was once the residence of King Ruggero II. There will also be time to shop at the local boutiques, taste some local seafood or gelato, or dip your toes into the bright, blue sea.
This private tour of Cefalu departs from the Palermo cruise ship terminal and returns you there at the end of your excursion. Lightweight seasonal clothing and walking shoes are recommended year-round, but added layers, including sweaters or jackets, may be required in less temperate weather during the winter months, and sunglasses and hats may be required during sunnier weather. If you plan to enter any churches, please make sure your shoulders are covered, and shorts are not appropriate.
The cost of this tour does not include food, beverages, or entrance fees to any museums or attractions. Snacks will be available for purchase. This tour is wheelchair accessible, but due to the uneven terrain, it is not recommended for people with limited mobility. You must be able to get in and out of the vehicle.
